NEW new website

crashed into ELEVEN TYrannosauruses after liftoff, had to rebuild everything

just a brief post...

sooo after writing my homelab post i thought it would be a Great idea to update astro and tailwind! and then everything broke!

not only did i have to fix up some stuff to compensate for the changes introduced in tailwind v4, my site just didn't deploy properly??

dunno what was up with that,, but anyway,

(ironically) the code also was Very very messy.. the only thing i did with the site near the end of its life was create new blog posts, since i couldn't be bothered to try and organize everything

soo i completely scrapped the astro site and started to rewrite it with a far more lightweight site generator, 11ty!

don't get me wrong, astro is a great framework if you're looking to create a website, i just thought it was a little too bloated for my purpose,

with this rewrite comes with cleaner code, and a cleaner design (the old window design While Cool, was too distracting imo), which should be more mobile friendly! eventually i'll reimplement some of the features from the old site

i've also removed some pages as i felt they were just unnecessary

dw i'm still keeping the sleeping guy ;)

rip powerpoint transitions tho :'(
